I noticed that sinseven had a problem with the login mechanics (mentioned AOL account).

Just recently I noticed a rogue and another druid register with no post entries.

Is there some restriction on this?

AOL is so 90s.

A lot of people get the activation email in their junk mail folder. There is no known resolution to this (except to check there). AOL and Yahoo mail are the two biggest problems, with hotmail next, and then gmail. At times we have activated peoples accounts manually.

I use AOL for spam

I have no spam blocker on AOL, everything goes to the inbox..

I have adjusted the site to form more authentic headers when sending an email, and to use a named mail server (mail.shadowstrikers.org). This should resolve some issues.

Important: Can someone confirm that they have received an email from this site at some point after this post (PM alert, etc). The headers should now show that it is coming from droogan AT shadowstrikers.org and the mail server as mail.shadowstrikers.org.

Hopefully this helps a bit. Also even though individual users may have allow all spam enabled it doesn't mean AOL itself hasn't banned emails from phpbb boards. These boards have been used in the past to spam, so most are blacklisted autolike.

Upon reviewing past forums sign ups I have this information:

Of the 12 Users who have never activated their account:

7 of them have AOL or Yahoo email addresses.
3 of them have RR (Road Runner?) email addresses.
1 of them is a Hotmail address.
