Ok guys so I was bitching all last night in the raid b/c my mic wasn't working. Well, it still doesn't work. Kerina spent a lot of time with me last night as we went through troubleshooting some things.
Basically it was working fine and then all of the sudden before the raid, no one could hear me.

Here's what I know.
I have no audio input signal from either a usb or a regular mic jack microphone.
The mics that I am using to test work just fine on another machine.
I have re-installed my drivers (SigmaTel C-Major Audio).
I have shut down/restarted my computer a ton of times each time with the mic plugged in, not plugged in, plugged in and standing on one leg, not plugged in and standing on the other leg, and so on.

Please help...

It could be that the actual usb port is broken or it could be the coding of the program that you have to process the information of a sound is broken and the only solution reallly is to reformat your computer. Trust me Reformat then if you still have problems then we can see afterwards

The drivers you reinstalled are for Audio Output if im not mistaken so check the input ones

Is it muted?
Is it plugged in the right spot?

I have tried 2 mics. Both a usb and a regular mic-jack one.

Unless there's some hidden system setting that might have had a weird keybind to it, then it shouldn't be muted.

Yeah before it stopped working. After that it was just static when I'd push to talk.

Did you uninstall/reinstall Ventrilo?

Did you try recording yourself via the Windows Sound Recorder?

Yes, no input is coming from either mic.
